Willow Springs

The Village of Willow Springs was incorporated in 1892. The Village is named for a site above the south bank of the Illinois-Michigan Canal, where a spring rose from the ground in front of a willow tree. The construction of the Illinois-Michigan Canal, between 1836 and 1848, was the decisive factor influencing the development of Willow Springs. Settlers and canal workers were attracted to the area by the economic opportunities. Many decided to stay after the completion of the canal and the town was born.

Willow Springs is a quaint, wooded and quiet community that's on the upswing. Many new homes and areas are sprouting up in what used to be an unassuming village. A new commuter train station is under construction as is a new town center with shops, restaurants and row houses.

The Pleasantdale School System was the winner of the Department of Education's "Blue Ribbon School Award". Students regularly score among the top 3% in the state on standardized tests.

Willow Springs offers something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a new home or town home under construction or an older home in an established community, Willow Springs is a great place to buy your future home!
