This locality is a quiet residential village with winding streets, towering trees, and
gently rolling hills. The established community is content to remain relatively
small, despite the rapid expansion of some nearby villages.
Clarendon Hills is renowned for volunteerism. In fact, the village was nicknamed
"the Volunteer Community", for it's heritage of helping. Children attend
primary school in District 181 and 60, and Hinsdale Central High School, District 86.
The new Clarendon Hills Middle School (District 181) opened in the Fall of 2000.
Hinsdale Central High School has well respected academic and extracurricular
programs.
